  18. In our area, the cable companies appear to be interested in getting direct
  19. connections with our ISPs. Once connectivity is locally established, we'll
  20. be in good shape for all but possibly WWW and file images from out of the
  21. cable domain(s).

  23. The ISP links to the Internet backbone will entail other costs that
  24. probably will be handled by ATM and / or SONET. Fortunately, they'll be
  25. able to save money on ISDN plant and equipment as more and more users
  26. connect via the cable system.
